SmartWave is not Ultrasound
Ultrasound units delivery thousands of pulses per second in order to vibrate soft tissue sufficient to produce a localized increase in soft tissue temperature. Unlike Ultrasound, the SmartWave produces slow pulses that do not produce a thermal affect. In addition, the SmartWave’s slow sound pulses produce soft tissue compression and not soft tissue vibration.
SmartWave BS-SWT2X / BS-SWTX using a projectile accelerated in the handpiece, to generates a mechanical pressure wave which can be heard by human ears, which is transferred to the human body by an applicator head and which radiates out in the tissue.
